Lindsay Beach

The Invention of Fear

Currently I am a resident of Philadelphia, PA. I received my BFA for Illustration from The University of the Arts in May 2011. This year, I had two pieces, entitled Black Swan and Speak, accepted into the Society of Illustrators annual student competition.

I am drawn to darker concepts and surreal imagery. I want to create images that will enthrall as well as disturb the viewer, and create a sense of mystery and wonder. I am influenced by the beauty of nature and books, as well as horror movies and my own dreams. Along with painting, I write poetry, and my words and paintings go hand in hand. One day I hope to have an art/poetry book published of my works.

My preferred medium is oil paint, however I do have experience with acrylic paint and watercolor with ink.

Jonathan Byrd

Bandit

I began writing Horror, Bizarro, and Splatterpunk back in 4th grade.  That year I was referred to the school psychologist after writing a story mimicking Edgar Allan Poe's The Tale-Tell Heart.  Over the years, I have let my "sick mind" (quoted from so many authority figures) have its way with pen and paper.  I tell people that I am a relatively new writer which is a nice way of saying unpublished.
