Eric Baker

The Time We Got Lost

I spill my words all over the internet in careless fashion, covering arts and entertainment here, satirizing politics and media there, and writing about writing on my blog. My fiction has begun clawing its way from the crypt as well. Oh, I drink a lot of tea. Is that weird?

Lindsay Beach

Serpentine Dreams

My name is Lindsay Beach. Currently I reside in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. I received my BFA for Illustration from The University of the Arts in May 2011.

My paintings reflect my inner most feelings. Rather than make an abstract piece, I think of what kind of images will best reflect what I am going through. What comes out tends to be dark, but mixed with beauty to counteract it. I want the viewers to be enthralled by the image itself before the realize what is really going on. I want the deep undertones to be subtle, almost overlooked, until the viewer takes another look. Then they may be disturbed.

The beauty of nature, books, horror movies and my own dreams influences me. Along with painting, I write poetry, and my words and paintings go hand in hand. One day I hope to have an art/poetry book published of my works.

I have also shown at the Society of Illustrators Annual Student Showcase in May 2011,  The Reflections Show at the Starlight Ballroom in Philadelphia in October 2011, the Black Vulture Gallery’s None More Blacklight Show in November 2011, and Phantom Hand’s Pulp Love Show in February 2012. I have been featured in Plant Healer Magazine’s Issue 4, and 69 Flavors of Paranoia’s Menu 14. Currently, I have just finished a show poster for Snow Patrol’s show at the Electric Factory, and I am making some designs for Too Fast Apparel. Coming up I am writing a guide to my process for Cut Up & Keep, a book cover for Bizarre Books, and an illustration for Morpheus Tales Magazine which will be out next year.

William C. Burns, Jr

God in the Machine

Bill was born in Washington DC, circa the early fifties, which puts him on the trailing edge of the beautiful generation (remember the Hippies? OK for those of you too young to how bout Shaggy from Scooby Doo?).
Raised in West Virginia in and around the rolling hills and glens of Charleston. Moved to South Carolina in 1984 with his wife and three children.

Lots of degrees (mostly Celsius, some Fahrenheit some Kelvin) in areas such as Electrical engineering, Biomedical engineering and Adult & Technical education.

Keeps the hounds of starvation at bay by teaching engineering and technology courses at various colleges.

Has been published in a bunch of small magazines and online journals.

Nicole Garcia

Zombie Evil Clown Head

I have been doing art ever since I was a little dead girl. I was using my markers to make my Barbie dolls look "different" and entering coloring contest so I could win tickets to circus shows! When other little girls wanted to be ballerinas I wanted to be an artist...and Elvira :). I still do! I find beauty in all things dark, spooky or mythical. Aspects of that are reflected not only in my style but also in my artwork.  I'm the type of girl that if Zombies attack I want to join em, not fight em. Some of my favorite things are horror movies, bats, Halloween, themed costume parties, Renaissance Faires, Muppets, Tattoos, shock rock, carnivals, freak shows, the circus, fairy and fantasy art, Universal Monsters and The Munsters. I like to draw, paint, scrapbook, craft and do anything that gets my creative blood flowing.

My biggest artistic inspiration is my father, Tom Birmingham who is not only an amazing artist but has always believed in me and my talent. Other artists that inspire me are Jim Henson, Tim Burton, Rob Zombie, Brian Froud, Dave Hartman, Cleve Hall, Eric Pigors and Chad Savage.

My artwork has won the 2nd Congressional Art Competition/Art Show, was featured at the Prairie State Truth and Fantasies Gallery Exhibit and displayed at the American Academy of Art Chicago. It has been talked about in newspapers, magazines and has been used for t-shirt designs, band merch, items for fundraising benefits, wall murals, etc.

Ken Goldman

Ken Goldman, former Philadelphia teacher of English and Film Studies, is an affiliate member of the Horror Writers Association. He has homes on the Main Line in Pennsylvania and at the Jersey shore depending upon his mood and the track of the sun.  His stories have  appeared in over 635 independent press publications in the U.S.,  Canada,  the UK,  and Australia with over twenty due for publication in 2012. Since 1993 Ken’s tales have received seven honorable mentions in The Year’s Best Fantasy & Horror. He has written two books : his  book of short stories,  "You Had Me At ARRGH!! : Five Uneasy Pieces by Ken Goldman" (at Sam's Dot Publishers and an all-time top ten bestseller at the former Genre Mall); and “a novella, “Desiree”  (published by Damnation books, available in downloadable eBook from their site, while  print and Kindle editions are available at Amazon.com). Ken would be famous except for the fact nobody seems to know who he is, but he looks forward to the day when he and Stephen King are called to the dais and someone asks “Who is that guy standing next to Ken Goldman?”

Heidi Green

Intergalactic Fungi Invasion

A girl from the deserts of the Southwest, I was raised with a hunger for knowledge and creatively inspired by the landscape surrounding me. My passion for travel has opened me up to the naturally occurring art within life. As a visual artist as well as a writer and musician, I feel that most of what I produce is communicative, from a space traveling infinitely in all directions. When I write or paint, I am often almost subconsciously creating. This energy is so magical in it’s ability to reach all living beings on some level. I appreciate so deeply my friends and family and all I have met along the way, for I have learned from, and been inspired by each end every one.

Craig Meinhart

Who?

I was born in December 1974 and grew up in the small college town of Stillwater Oklahoma and even got my bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University.  From my youngest days horror, monsters and the macabre have been my not so secret obsessions, so when I finished my degree I set out to stick to the road less traveled and have worked a wide array of odd jobs while writing fiction both long and short.  I now live in Dallas Texas where I sing for and write the lyrics for the metal band Silvertonguedevil, as well as manage the band, create music videos and short movies, and write fiction and screenplays.  In what little down time I have I enjoy working the Texas Frightmare Weekend horror convention and reading books of all kinds.
