Kristen Lynn Alanese

The Muse

I'm Kristen Lynn Albanese and I'm a Writing Arts student at Rowan University with a focus in poetry.  I'm a New Jersey native but I'm not fond of the state—I'd rather be somewhere warmer.  I love dark and mysterious writing that leaves your heart racing, palms sweaty, yet wanting more.  I thrive off of vivid images that pull the reader's mind into the moment, as well as poems that convey heavy emotion like electricity through a copper pipe.  Post-school, I plan to write poetry for enjoyment and become a certified dog trainer.

Angela Caperton

Sex Sea

Angela Caperton's eclectic erotica spans many genres, including romance, horror, fantasy and what she calls contemporary-with-a-twist.   Look for her stories published with Cleis, Circlet Press, Drollerie Press, eXtasy Books, and in the indie magazine Out of the Gutter.

Visit Angela's Blog.

Ken Goldman

A Hitchcock Teaser

Ken Goldman,  an affiliate member of the Horror Writers Association,  has homes on the Main Line in Pennsylvania and at the Jersey shore  depending upon his mood and the track of the sun.  His stories appear in over 515 independent press publications in the U.S.,  Canada,  the UK,  and Australia  with over twenty due for publication in 2009-2010.  His book of short stories,  "You Had Me At ARRGH!! : Five Uneasy Pieces by Ken Goldman" (Sam's Dot Publishers) remains an all-time top ten best seller at The Genre Mall where (shameless plug alert)  it can be purchased.  Australia's Precision Pictures has contracted Ken's short story "The Keeper" to be filmed (hopefully) during 2010.  Ken would be famous except for the fact nobody seems to know who he is.

Kenneth Harmon

Dark Justice

Kenneth lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife, four daughters, and a ghost named Mary Bell. In his spare time, he writes stories that his friends call weird. In 2009 he was named a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writer's Association novel writing contest.

Guy de Maupassant

Was it a Dream

A protégé of Flaubert, Maupassant's stories are characterized by their economy of style and efficient, effortless dénouement. Many of the stories are set during the Franco-Prussian War of the 1870s and several describe the futility of war and the innocent civilians who, caught in the conflict, emerge changed. He also wrote six short novels.

Shane McKenzie

Youth

I work for the police department in Austin, TX taking emergency calls. I'm about to get married in Cabo San Lucas in August 2010. I have loved all things horror since I was a kid, and my family has always embraced it. I can't tell you how many times I watched and re-watched the Thriller video as a kid. My work can be found at various ezines and in anthologies, including Liquid Imagination, Estronomicon, Aphelion, and Twisted Dreams to name a few.

Brant Petretti

A Place in the Dark

I was born ages ago in San Jose, California. The thought of trying to write something for publication has haunted me for nearly 60 years. I finally gave it a try, and this is one of my recent efforts. I have also been published in The Ethereal Gazette, Dark Fire, The Nautilus Engine, and Death Head Grin.

Robert Sullivan

Driving Dead

This biography is still under the broiler as of 02/14/2010

Carol Weekes

Neurosis

Carol Weekes has been publishing short fiction and novels since 1995; she writes mainly in the Horror genre, but has also written Scif-fi, Dark Fantasy, Mainstream, Literary, cross-genre work, and non-fiction. She edited the now defunct speculative fiction magazine, Northern Fusion, in the late 1990's. A first novel, 'Walter's Crossing' was released from NSP Books in 2007. A new, dark novel, 'Ouroboros', co-written with Michael Kelly, is now available through Bloodletting Press. Carol lives in a haunted house, which pleases her immensely, and continues to write more fiction in the vein of things that go ker-bump, 24/7.

Neil Young

Four Bullets

Neil V. Young was born back in 19-something and raised primarily in Los Angeles. He knew from the time he picked up his first H.P. Lovecraft novel that he loved horror. So, for the past few years he has been trying to write horror and finding it very difficult to do. While he has had several sci-fi short stories published, Four Bullets is his first horror victory. For many years, Neil has worked as a tech writer in the creative departments of several major technology companies. He has a degree in Journalism but rarely uses it anymore. Neil enjoys mountain biking, playing paintball, surfing, or finding some other way to enjoy the outdoors. He currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA in a house he shares with his dog, cat, and bearded dragon.
