MEASUREMENTS
Prefers 2,500 words and below, but will consider up to 3,500. Loves flash fiction (under 1,000 words). It's difficult to read 3,500+ words on a monitor...and we get bored easily. If you think you're good enough to stir my stew, then you better make it lean and mean and keep us from the get go.
INSTRUCTIONS
Our best advice is to take a heaping scoop of the main course, sprinkle in a couple of the herbs & spices for extra flavor, mix well, and top with a steaming pile of your favorite title. 69FoP's tastebuds tend toward horror and dark fantasy. While horror is our favorite dish, we most love to serve it in a slipstream/cross genre stew. We love monsters and unknown beings of all types (just remember, though, there's a billion of 'em out there, so yours had better be tasty) and the contemporary/urban fantasy found in The Twilight Zone. LotR/Harry Potter-style fantasy, hard sci-fi and poetry are not particularly palatable to us, and we've been known to spit those pieces out before we finish chewing. Nothing particularly wrong with them, mind you, just not the textures we savor.
69FoP gives first consideration to short stories originally served up in small press 'zines prior to the turn of the century, though we will take a bite of anything published in any periodical through 2004. We will also accept original fiction, but if it's good enough to submit to 69FoP, it should be good enough to put out to the paying markets first. That said, if you really want your recipe associated with such a groovy title, and it has the right ingredients, toss it in our oven and see if it bakes...
Until we fill our tables with your first banquet, you can step into editor Rycke Foreman's den at www.rycke.com and snack on a few of his treats. Swish the taste around a bit, get an idea of the flavor we're looking to brew, then serve it up on a silver platter.
Our belated and beloved Miss Constant has a word or two as well for you ... go here to read what she wants to share.

PRESENTATION
69 Flavors of Paranoia is an online magazine published/updated 6 times a year with new content. Each issue will then be archived for future access. We are just starting out - again - and with the many projects we have going (See Rycke.com, Slash: It's a Real Scream, Myss Miranda Designs and CurtWalters.com - just to name a few) things may get backed up. Just think of it as heartburn and we need to medicate before preparing the next meal.
